Connecting Digital and Physical Media
π Central London: Situated in the vibrant, and pedestrian friendly, Strand-Aldwych space, which draws in an annual footfall of 14 million, the exhibition will introduce an immersive and thought provoking experience, granting women non-binary and trans creators centre stage in the heart of London, at the Bush House Arcade and Strand Aldwych.
π Global Experience: GLoW3 aims to transcend physical and digital boundaries with its art and discourse, as the entire world transcends into this new era. Join our exhibition online for an immersive, virtual journey, from anywhere in the world.
Connecting the Past and Future of Digital Media
In a space often dominated by a narrow range of voices and perspectives, GLoW3 not only highlights the contributions of present day women, non-binary and trans creators in Web 3.0 screen based media, but the women, non-binary and trans creators that have made innovative strides in the realm of creative technology through the decades, and whose contributions have often been looked over. Through showcasing legacy artworks, the pieces will serve as a historical journey through the evolution of creative technology and immersive world creation.
π¨ Yarli Allison: ‘Stem Cell City’, a world-building series accessed via sculptural objects in relationship with digital screenings, sound art, and interactive maps.
π¨ Violeta Ayala: ‘Las Awichas’, a series of large-scale portraits and sculptural objects created using AI – blending physical installations with digital elements, including augmented reality.
π¨ Lisa Jamhoury: βL’EntrΓ©e,β an interactive installation consisting of augmented reality sculptures that have been created with motion capture, 3D modeling, and computational averaging in a gaming engine.
π¨ Rebecca Smith (Urban Projections): ‘Second Nature’, a large-scale immersive internal projection-mapped piece in the St Mary Le Strand church. This ambitious piece will respond to environmental data being generated by Kingβs researchers through the multiple sensors that are monitoring the newly pedestrian space.
